Fix a payroll error
I am in week 3 of the course and can't decide who likes it more -- my students or me! However, it was bound to happen, the teacher made an error and a student caught it (yay!).
I ran an initial payroll before school to put in the $500 starting balance. After week 1 over half of the students were employed, and I ran the second payroll. This week all but 4 students were employed and I ran the third payroll. However, I left one of the newly employed students with the unemployed salary. He caught it!
I have corrected the student's salary, but am not sure how I can go in and re-run payroll for just that student who needs to be corrected. I found the area in payroll where you can make changes and submit, but I don't want to submit the entire payroll, only for the student that was in error. Is there a way to do this?
Open the student history. Click the pencil next to the check you want to change. If it looks good, then you can just print that one students check by pressing the printer icon. You can create new paychecks just for this student as well.
